CityScape Community Art Space

CityScape Community Art Space is an outstanding contemporary art space owned by the City of North Vancouver and programmed and managed by the North Vancouver Community Arts Council.

This very unique public exhibition space was created in 2001 by the creative vision of the North Vancouver Community Arts Council and the Mayor, Council and City staff of the day. It operates under the very thoughtful misson statement of: “to celebrate and promote art and artists through quality experiences in a unique and inviting gallery space, and to create an inclusive environment which enriches and encourages interaction in the community.“

All exhibitions are group based, themed and must have an interactive component to engage the broader community. Ideas for exhibitions come from the community and beyond and are adjudicated by a submissions committee.

This creative approach continually results in truly remarkable and diverse art exhibitions.

The Art Rental Exhibition

The Art Rental Programme will be undergoing some very exciting changes this fall. The programme is going to be moved to a brand new area of the gallery. The programme will have its own dedicated gallery space. The renovations will begin in late August and continue to the end of September. The renovation schedule will interfere with the programme, requiring us to suspend rental activities for a couple of months including the regular September Art Rental exhibition.
